About ‘Iolani Fair
The ‘Iolani Fair, under the Office of Institutional Advancement, is ‘Iolani School’s annual fund-raising event. Its proceeds support student activities, educational programs, and many more vital and worthy aspects of school life. It unites the ‘Iolani community, students, teachers, parents, grandparents, alumni and friends in the spirited sharing of a mutual purpose.
And it’s fun! People enjoy the games, food and entertainment and it serves a valuable function as a wholesome ‘Iolani activity. Thank you for sharing your skills, time, and aloha.
We hope you are looking forward to the traditional ‘Iolani Fair with an Italian twist. We have an exciting week planned for the students leading up to the fair which will surely entice their Italian spirit. The Teacher Feature booth, where students can win prizes from ‘Iolani faculty and administration, promises to be a continued success. Stop by the Italian Marketplace and Gourmet Booth to enjoy some tastes from the Italian Peninsula. Make sure to come by the football field to catch exciting Futsal games in the afternoon, followed by our featured movies, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs on Friday, and G.I. Joe on Saturday at sundown.
On behalf of students at ‘Iolani School, we would like to thank the ‘Iolani Ohana and all who support the Fair. It is your generous contributions of time and service that make the ‘Iolani Fair the
glorious event that we look forward to each year. See you at the Fair!

Prepare yourself as we venture off to Ancient Rome, the destination for our 2010 ‘Iolani Fair. This year’s theme, When in Rome… takes you to a place where Roman Dictators and mighty Emperors once ruled. This annual event promotes camaraderie within our ‘Iolani community and provides a weekend of fun and excitement for your entire family. There will be new attractions, fun games, Extreme rides, entertainment, and the always onolicious foods.
The proceeds from the ‘Iolani Fair help to defray soaring maintenance costs and aid in funding school programs. Profits from last year’s Fair are being used for the installation of solar heating for the pool and moves us another step towards becoming an energy-efficient school. Every year, approximately 1800 adult and 1300 student volunteers are needed for this wonderful event, so we humbly ask for your support again to keep our 'Iolani Fair a success.
All Roads Lead To Rome so grab your favorite toga and join us at the 2010 ‘Iolani Fair on Friday and Saturday, April 16th and 17th.

Standing triumphantly in the Coliseum preside Roman goddesses Dana Gibson and Allie Yuen along with Addison Adonis Kogami, ably assisted by young apprentices, Scott Tan and Laura Kagami. Publicity co-chairs, Rachel Da Vinci Kaya and Evan Michelangelo Sukita, direct with their their New Rome creativity, aided by dynamic shadows, Jennifer Kumura and Sarah Carlile. Guiding and supporting them all on the path to greatness is the lovely Roman Empress, Ms. Ernette Au.
We are eager to take you all back to ancient Rome, to the time of chariots, gladiators, and exhilarating Roman conquest. This year’s Fair will reflect the glory and triumphs of the Roman Empire and we are confident it will be the most exciting fair yet! We are very excited about changes we are making this year, including a new Rockin' Rome tent for all the specialty services, such as face painting, massages, storytelling, and more. Of course, you will experience new and delicious specialty Italian cuisine. We are also looking forward to the continued success of the increasingly popular Teacher Feature booth for Upper School ‘Iolani students and the Eco Square, which will now be supported by our own Good 2B Green Club. Ever mindful of our mission statement - to engage the ‘Iolani ohana and its community in the spirit of service - we hope to see you all contributing to and enjoying this year’s ‘Iolani Fair, When in Rome… MMX. We have much in store for you!
