Gallery 563
The 2010 ‘Iolani Fair Art Show and Sale has undergone a Renaissance of it’s own. Redubbed Gallery 563, this year’s show will exclusively feature artwork that is affordable (everything under $500) and portable (nothing larger than 3 feet by 3 feet). Whether you are looking for a painting worthy of Michelangelo or just something cute to hang by your pizza oven, stop by Seto Hall on Friday, April 16 from 12-10:30p and on Saturday, April 17 from 12-7:00p.
Bring the entire famiglia to the Collectors Preview and Art Sale to Seto Hall on Wednesday, April 14, 5:30-8:00p. Admission is free, no invitation needed. Listen to beautiful music, dine on delicious appetizers, and be the first on the piazza to see the work of Hawaii’s best artists (and best of all, meet some of them in person).
Artists may sign up to participate in Gallery 563 from now to March 17, 2010. You do not need to be affiliated with ‘Iolani School. All work is sold on consignment (60% to the artist, 40% donated to ‘Iolani School). Pieces cannot exceed $500 in price or 3 feet by 3 feet in size. Art in all mediums are welcome but must be ready to hang. Jewelry artists must provide their own cases. Original work preferred but giclees and limited editions will be accepted (if clearly labeled as so). To sign up, please contact Gallery 563 Co-Chairperson Lei Fortuno at lei@iolani.org.
We are also looking for volunteers to help with a variety of tasks from now until Fair days. You do not need an art background or an interest in art to help. You can even work from home!
