Support ‘Iolani Fair

Don’t miss out on taking part in the largest school event of the year! Don’t know how you can help? Well, you are in the right place. Below you will find the various ways you can help support the Fair.

Volunteering at the Fair

Sign up to work at your child's class booth or if an alumni, your food booth. Please visit here for more information on signing up for a shift at the Fair.

Pre-Fair Workshops

If you will be out of town or unable to work the weekend of the Fair, you can volunteer at any of the workshops on the weekdays or weekends leading up to the fair. These workshops include food prep, general store (breads, cookies, jams & jellies, kim chee), silent auction or games. For more information on what shifts are available, please contact the Fair Office. A full list of pre/post Fair shifts will be out shortly on our manpower page.

Sugar Drive

We need 1,400 pounds of sugar to make baked goods for our General Store and our popular malasadas. The Sugar Drive will be held on March 6, 2015. Please mark your calendars.

Silent Auction

Get together with members of your class to create a themed basket or donate those items that can be used to create a basket. An example would be Summer/Swim basket with goggles, pool/beach toys, lotions, beach blanket, gift card to a water park, gift card to shave ice stand.

Corporate Sponsors

Become a sponsor and receive parking passes and the opportunity for publicity on the fair grounds. For more information on how to become a sponsor click here.

Grandparents Ohana

Do you know anyone that can sew? The Grandparents Ohana is in need of sewers and quilters to help make the lovely quilts and blankets sold at the fair. Parents, Grandparents, Aunties are all welcome.

Support Division Needs Your Help

The Support Division oversees the layout and other logistical requests of the Fair. We also help to put up the food booths, smaller tents, and other tasks which help to make the Fair run smoothly. Our main workshops are on the Saturday before the Fair and the Sunday after the Fair, but we are always happy to have extra sets of hands during the week of the Fair. Our “crew” is on campus 8:00 am to 3:30 pm to help in any capacity. We are especially looking for certified forklift drivers on the Thursday before the Fair, and Saturday evening after the Fair.

This is a great time to meet new people, work alongside ‘Iolani Staff, and learn about the school your children attend. If any of this interests you, feel free to contact the Advancement Office at 943-2339 or email fair@iolani.org.
